Today we continued rehearsing as a band to “someone like you” this is coming along really well. Maddie has had a bad voice for a while however was feeling much better today this helped the rehearsal come together. I have been enjoying playing with other instruments and feeling part of a band. I feel this is a challenge but with more practice will work really well.
Things that went well…
During this session timing has improved another vocalist had
joined and sounds good alongside Maddie. We decided to plug the keyboard in to
the Amp for better hearing however this was a Bass Amp and had a ringing to it.
Things to improve on…
We need more of a break between parts comparing to last time
we did rehearse a break and feel this would be good to practice now. With the
guitar playing Dom had advised an upper strum to emphasise this more. We need
to plug the guitar into an amp to personify the sound more with other
instruments. Next time we may need 3 microphones as only 2 vocals had a mic.
Further progress…
We have discussed learning a new
song Adele “Rolling in the deep” we started to play this and I would like to
learn the keys starting at the chorus. During my drumming lessons I would like
to also attempt to learn the drums for this. I am pleased we have agreed to
practice another song that I am able to participate in playing for the show.
