For this performance I was less nervous as we had the previous performance last week.
Everyone felt the same as we could work from the issues we
found from the previous performance.
The
vocalists I played alongside were really helpful and we followed each other
well. I feel having 2 backing vocals is much stronger than 1 we didn’t
initially practice this and was a last-minute decision. Also having the 2
guitars allows for a much stronger sound al all come together nicely. I had
feedback from my peers said this sounded and personified really nicely to the
audience.
Things that went well…
Timing – Everyone played in time apart from the
start getting the beat matched correctly then flowed perfect.
Dynamic – when playing quietly, the piece still retained
emotion.
Things to improve on…
I want to gain more confidence when performing the more I do
this the better I will feel. I feel more rehearsal time will help with this as
the people I am playing alongside had other songs I had less time to practice.
Further progress…
I would like to challenge myself to
learn a new song and to rehearse more as a group.
Ensure plenty of rehearsal time prior
to next performance.
